Challenge

Northern Tile Distributors, a Melbourne supplier of hybrid flooring, engineered timber and tiles, needed an online storefront where builders and homeowners could browse large product ranges and order at wholesale. The brief called for clear merchandising of hundreds of SKUs across collections, with pricing and sale visibility on both desktop and mobile.

Solution

Dcrayons designed and built a catalog-first ecommerce site organised around product categories, named collection ranges such as the NTD Tiles Sward Range, and a Best Sellers rail. We added grid and list view toggles, clear sale pricing, a sticky utility bar for phone and email contact, and a Trustpilot review block to support buyer confidence. An augmented-reality "see our products in your space" tool lets shoppers preview tiles and flooring before they order, and the whole layout was made fully responsive for in-store and on-site mobile browsing.

Results

The storefront gives Northern Tile Distributors a clean way to present deep tile and timber ranges so builders can scan collections quickly and check pricing without friction. Pages load quickly on mobile and the catalog reached a strong Lighthouse performance score, while the streamlined browse-to-cart path moved the add-to-cart rate up in early testing. Bounce rate on category pages dropped after the redesign.
